More Time to ReMIND

In my last post, I wrote about this week’s Stand Up for Heroes benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation and ReMIND.org.

I also want to write about the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, which is working in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to provide care for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries plus family outreach, research and education. Liz Kowalczyk wrote a moving article for The Boston Globe about Home Base in September. Euro RSCG Worldwide PR has supported, and will continue to support, this amazing regional program.

Time to ReMIND

I’m looking forward to the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s Stand Up for Heroes benefit on Wednesday. The sold-out event, at New York City’s Town Hall, will be a lot of fun—hosted by Brian Williams, with guests such as Stephen Colbert, Louis C.K. and Bruce Springsteen—but for me it’s much more than a party. Just months after my tumor was successfully removed at Massachusetts General Hospital, I went with JWT chairman and CEO Bob Jeffrey, who was already on the BWF board, to Washington, D.C., to a special evening in which the Marines were celebrating Bob Woodruff.

Why I Love Twitter

creativecommons.org/7son75Let me confess that I started off thinking Twitter was nutty, for teens and/or techies, or basically for everyone but me. Then I had an epiphany: Short and sweet could link my worlds and could enable me to do things I’d never done before, or at least do them more efficiently. Here are things I’ve accomplished on Twitter since my love affair began in December:
